The first Aaavatar did one thing: drop in a photo, get a clean profile picture. That still works. Aaavatar 2 adds everything around it, so a whole team ends up looking like it was photographed on the same day.
One folder per team
Make a folder for each team, client or project. Give the folder a default background and every portrait you add to it gets that background, including the new hire who joins three months from now.
Need to change several at once? Select them and set one background for all of them.
Backgrounds disappear on their own
Add a photo and the background is removed straight away. There’s no button for it. The first time you set up the app, it downloads what it needs for the sharpest cutouts, in the background.
An editor for the details
Open a portrait to fine-tune it. Frame centres the face and switches between circle and square. Adjust handles light and colour. Background offers colours, ten gradients, your own images and photos from Unsplash. Enhance has tiles like Retouch, Studio Light and Boost; the ones with a credit badge run in the cloud.
Fill in body
Photos cut off at the chin are the most common reason a team page looks uneven. Fill in body adds the missing shoulders, so everyone gets the same framing. It’s a cloud edit and uses credits.
Effects
For teams that don’t take themselves too seriously, Pro includes effects like Balloon, Windy, Sticker, Flowers, 3D Head and Hairy. Effects use credits.
Export the set
Export one portrait or the whole folder. Every file is a PNG in a square, circle or rounded shape, at 512, 1024 or 2048 pixels. The same file works on LinkedIn, in Slack, in your email signature and on your website.
Coming from Aaavatar 1
Open Settings › Preferences › Migration and choose Import from this Mac. Your portraits come along with their names, dates and original photos.
What it costs
Your first three images are free. Pro is €4.99 a month (excl. VAT) and adds unlimited images, all tools including effects, full-resolution exports without a watermark and 200 credits a month for cloud edits.
